This week I finished my Growing Up Odd quilt. You can find the tutorial at one of my favorite scrap quilt tutorial sites -- Wedding Dress Blue. This quilt is California twin sized. My niece longarm quilted it with BRIGHT ORANGE thread!!! I was worried at first, but it reminds me of jeans from the 80's. It was quilted with the Egyptian Eye pattern.
The back was a stash buster for all those novelty fabrics that my great nephew likes. He helped pick them from our stashes.
I finally finished my Growing Up Odd quilt that I had been working on for a while. I have already given it to my great nephew. It's already on his bed. I hope to get better pictures of it soon. Today's the last day to enter the Scrap Challenge Quilt 4. I got this quick picture.
I home from traveling and visiting all summer. Here's the Growing Up Odd scrap quilt that I am working on again. The tute can be found At Wedding Dress Blue blog.
These are scrappy squares from my "ugly" scraps stash. My niece helps me with collecting these too. This is for a California Twin bed. The squares are 2" (1.5" finished). I'm happy with the progress thus far.
I didn't get my Growing Up Odds quilt finished. I'm still collecting and cutting 2" squares. Luckily my niece had this quilt that we worked on together in her stack. It is my donation to the H2H cause. It was mailed to Emily today. She should receive it on Wednesday, 6/11/14.
